The Snowballing Controversy

One may well say that Sai Baba is rapidly becoming a controversial guru. He is appearing in movies, videos, the print media, electronic print and electronic video media. All forms of human communication seem to engage in challenge, question and dispute about Sai Baba, his nature and his alleged activities.

The release of The Findings onto the Internet, and the campaign to contact persons involved in disputated activity with Sai Baba have widened the subject of original controversy (which specified many irregularities around Sai Baba, Is He Truly Who He Claims To Be?) and opened up for discussion what some persons regard as questionable activiity between Sai Baba and devotees.

Dispute is grounded primarily in what humans expect with regard to behaviour of God-men, Divine Incarnations, Avatars of God, Holy Saints and like leaders of Humanity. Even Gandhi was not immune from charges of spoiling his celibacy.

A reality of controversy is being created in many quarters. Clearly there are assumptions about the nature of God, and these influence human expectation of how God behaves when he comes in a body, etc, etc,.

The West is largely permeated with the knowledge of the One True God. Let us go on to examine some of the thoughts the West has held about the Nature of God.
